Children in elementary school are invited to read to our wonderful dog volunteers. They join us on the third Saturday of each month. This is an excellent program for children who are learning to read or need practice reading. Our patient dogs love to listen and they never criticize.   • Sept. 5: Wildlife Mystery – We will use a kit borrowed from Colorado Parks and Wildlife to examine animal tracks and hair and solve a “whodunit” mystery.
  • Sept. 12: Cat Toys – Kids will make cat toys to donate to the Adams County Animal Shelter.
  • Sept. 19: Read to Madeline the Dog – Madeline the therapy dog will come to Wright Farms and listen to stories kids are reading.
  • Sept. 26: Creature Feature – Representatives from the Denver Zoo will bring two live mammals for kids to get acquainted with.

In addition to answering basic genealogy questions, our genealogy volunteers can help you build a four-generation pedigree using familysearch.org and introduce you to resources such as Ancestry.com. If you are a beginner, they will help you get started building a family tree and sharing your family history. Each individual help session is up to 30 minutes long and is available on a first come, first served basis.
