Come with your little one (18 months to 4 years) to enjoy one or all of our interactive play stations. We provide a place for you to have a “play date” at our house!

A new way to explore early literacy! This drop-in program is for children through 6 years old and their parents. Five different centers will be set up reflecting one of each of the early literacy skills. Centers may include books, hands-on activities, crafts, or music. Participants will be gathered together two times during the hour to do a group movement, or story activity. This is a new and exciting way to create a path of life-long learning.

Nothing Daunted: The Unexpected Education of Two Society Girls in the West, by Dorothy Wickenden, is the true story of some clever men in Elkland, Colo., who brought a couple of school teachers out West and taught them a few things. Wickenden is the executive editor of the New Yorker. Join us in discussing this fascinating history.
