Write your novel with us! National Novel Writing Month is a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to novel writing. Participants begin writing on Nov. 1. The goal is to write a 50,000-word novel by 11:59:59pm on Nov. 30. Join others in literary abandon throughout the month of November. No registration necessary.

Nov. 19 – Make It: Create a toy that you can play with! This month, we will build and launch mini paper rockets.

Nov 26 – Build It: We provide the Legos and building blocks; bring your imagination and see what you can create.

A new way to explore early literacy! This drop-in program is for children up to 4 years old and their parents. Five different centers will be set up reflecting each early literacy skill. Be a kid again! On the third Saturday of every month, we host Family Fun Saturday with an activity and snacks. This November, enjoy a game-show-style competition. Bryce Jackman plays host of the Commerce City Minute To Win. There is no registration required, so please stop by and join the fun!

Children in elementary school are invited to read to our wonderful dog volunteers on the third Saturday of each month. It’s an excellent program for children who are learning to read or need practice reading. Our patient dogs love to listen and they never criticize.
