Ever heard of a zine? A zine is a mini-magazine-of-sorts that is independently made and distributed for free throughout the community. What accumulates in a zine can represent a particular moment in time, poetry, artwork, doodles or simply a collection of ideas. In this series with Emily from Betterish, learn how to share your story, your skills, your uniqueness, and even your playlists. Each week we’ll cut, we’ll paste, and we’ll get crafty making handmade informational guides that will ultimately culminate within a DIY’BRARY* we’ll construct during the last session. At the end of each session, each participant will get to make 5 copies of their mini zine to keep, trade, and share. Appropriate for tweens and teens. Space is limited; registration requested. Please visit our online calendar to register.
