Learn about embryology with a special guest from 4-H. You’ll learn about eggs and the changes they undergo on their way to becoming baby chicks. Observe real chicken eggs that will be on display for several weeks until hatching. This program is for students in grades K-5. No registration is required.

Don't be intimidated by computers! Learn your way around in this beginner’s class. You will learn how to use a computer, building mouse and keyboard skills, and discover how to navigate your desktop. We'll also learn more about surfing the web and finding the information you need. This hands-on class covers the fundamentals essential to any of today’s personal computers.         This is a drop off period. Leave your documents with Adams County tax preparers and their volunteers and pick up your completed form the next week.

        To qualify for free income tax preparation of basic taxes and free electronic filing taxpayers combined income must be $50,000 or less.
        Please bring the following:
        A copy of last year’s tax return
        Social security cards for yourself and your dependents
        All W-2s, 1098 and 1099 forms
        Proof of any other income received
        Any deductible expenses
        Any booklets sent to you from the Internal Revenue Service and the State of Colorado

        True Sisters is another stunning work of Western history by Denver’s Sandra Dallas. In this work, she chronicles the Martin Company, a group of 575 Mormons who walked with handcarts 1,300 miles from Iowa to Salt Lake City. There’s plenty to discuss in Dallas’ novel.

        A new way to explore early literacy! This drop-in program is for children up to 4 years old and their parents. Five different centers will be set up reflecting each early literacy skill. Centers may include books, hands-on activities, crafts or music. Participants will be gathered together various times during the hour to do a group movement or story activity.

It’s an excellent program for children who are learning to read or need practice reading. Our patient dogs love to listen and they never criticize.
