Just Like Us: The True Story of Four Mexican Girls Coming of Age in America by Helen Thorpe is a coming-of-age story about girlhood and friendship, as well as the resilience required to transcend poverty. This collection of true stories takes place in Denver. Thorpe was married to Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper.
Join Ms. Rene for a great time in this program for 3-6-year-olds who love to dance, sing and have a good time! We’ll play games, use easy musical instruments, shake bean bags and parachutes, and get ourselves moving and grooving!
Come with your little one (18 months to 4 years) to enjoy one or all of our interactive play stations. We provide a place for you to have a “play date” at our house!
Do you need to start with the basics? We’ve got you covered. We’ll go over the fundamentals of a computer and how to operate a mouse and keyboard. Learn about browsers, files and programs, and get comfortable with the daily operation of a computer. Space is limited; registration required.

Six different centers will be set up reflecting each early literacy skill. Centers may include books, hands-on activities, crafts or music. Participants will be gathered together two times during the hour to do a group movement or story activity.

According to a new U.S. regulation, certain people who came to the United States as children and meet several key guidelines may request consideration of deferred action for a period of two years, and may be eligible for employment. This policy is known as Deferred Action for Childhood (DACA).
