Family Place Libraries™ is a network of children’s librarians nationwide who believe that literacy begins at birth, and that libraries can help build healthy communities by nourishing healthy families. Parents and caregivers with children ages 0-3 are welcome to sign up for this five-week series beginning May 5, 2010. Participation will be limited to 12 families. Different childhood experts will be on hand to talk to parents and play with children. Each week, new learning and exploration activities will be offered.
Learn from local Brighton author/illustrator, Marina Galasso, how to create the unique illustrations used in her recently self-published book, I Wish. Galasso discusses how she wrote her story and published the work. Participants will receive a book to take home that includes the illustrations created in the session.
