Join us for the grand opening celebration of Anythink Huron Street.

1 pm – Ribbon-cutting ceremony
1:30 pm – Library opens
2:30-4:30 pm – “Reflections on Light – An Adult Story Time,” with special guests
2:30-5:30 pm – Fire and Ice – watch local ice sculptor create a fantastic ice creation while members of the Colorado Fire Tribe perform
4:45 pm – A spectacular laser light show every half hour, beginning at 4:45 pm by the tree grove

Explore variations on light – from light graffiti to kaleidoscopes – while enjoying wintertime favorites like hot cocoa and roasted chestnuts throughout the day. Guests are encouraged to bring written selections on the theme of light to read by the fireplace during our adult story time.

Feb. 3: Paint the Music – Paint to various music.
Feb. 10: Collage pictures and frames – Use torn pieces of magazine to create a self portrait and decorate a simple frame to put the picture in.
Feb. 17: Olympics Craft – Create a USA craft to support the USA Olympic team in their 2010 showing in Vancouver, Canada.
Feb. 24: Sand Art – Create your own masterpieces using paper and sand.
