Anythink hosts Hour of Code
For the third year in a row, Anythink is teaming up with Code.org to host Hour of Code. Hour of Code is a global movement that takes place during Computer Science Education Week – Dec. 7-13, 2015 – to help promote coding literacy and show that anybody can learn the basics. During this week, Anythink will be hosting a number of programs throughout the district that will encourage students to try their hand at programming through fun and interactive tutorials.
“Anythinkers will have fun learning about computer science during Hour of Code,” says Logan Macdonald, director of products and technology. “We’re excited to join the thousands of participating organizations worldwide again this year.”
Participation in Hour of Code is one of the ways in which Anythink continues to support STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics) access and education. This international movement is designed to make technology accessible to all, and boasts support from public figures like Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg and President Obama.
