Anythink will soon open the doors of Anythink York Street, a new 9,388-square-foot public library in Thornton, Colo. Media and the public are invited to celebrate and explore the modern new library from 1-4 pm on June 1, 2013. Anythink York Street is a unique community partnership between Mapleton Public Schools and Anythink Libraries. The public library is housed on the school district's Skyview Campus at 8990 York Street in southeast Thornton, serving community members of all ages with Anythink's innovative service model, emphasizing creativity and learning through participation.

Anythink York Street Grand Opening festivities include crafts, music, tours and refreshments, all with a summertime vibe. The library will also be open for business, so guests can sign up for a library card and check out items. The event also kicks off Anythink's mySummer program. Guests can become mySummer members, sign up for programs and receive and decorate their special mySummer messenger bags.

Anythink York Street is the latest addition to the Anythink family, providing community members and students with a sleek, modern facility, a robust collection, 25 public computers, faster Internet access and a wide variety of hands-on, innovative programming. The new location also has new hours that include Saturdays.
