Explore Outdoors at Anythink Wright Farms Certified by Nature Explore
Nature Explore, a collaborative project of the Arbor Day Foundation and Dimensions Educational Research Foundation, has certified the Explore Outdoors space at Anythink Wright Farms as an official Nature Explore classroom, making it part of a network of recognized schools and organizations committed to reconnecting children with nature.
Explore Outdoors, which opened in September 2012 at Anythink Wright Farms, is an outdoor space that gives children a creative outlet to connect with the natural world through activities like climbing, building, performing and exploring. The classroom contains natural materials designed to spark curiosity and create a life-long path of interactive learning.
“We are honored to be part of the national network of Nature Explore Outdoor Classrooms,” says Anythink Family Services Director Lynda Freas. “Explore Outdoors at Anythink Wright Farms is the perfect place to extend the library experience outside. It’s a joy to see families using the space every single day as a library destination.”
Funding for Explore Outdoors was made possible through support from Adams County Open Space, the Wright Farms Metropolitan District, the Anythink Foundation and other generous donors in the community.
