Matthew Hamilton Joins the Anythink Team as IT Manager
Matt Hamilton, industry expert on emerging technologies in libraries, recently accepted a position as Anythink IT manager at Rangeview Library District. Hamilton was named one of Library Journal’s Movers and Shakers of 2010 and is frequently tapped for speaking engagements at conferences and staff training nationwide.
Previously, Hamilton was the Library Innovation and Technology Manager at Boulder Public Library. He received his MLS from Emporia State University’s School of Library and Information Management and has presented around the country on innovative services, staff development, and emerging technologies. His passion for technology has led to active involvement in several professional associations, including the Library & Information Technology Association Web Coordinating Committee, which he currently chairs.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with the fabulous team at Anythink,” says Hamilton. “Our vision and thirst for innovative library services makes this a great match, and I look forward to an exciting future with the organization.”
In his new role at Anythink, Hamilton will help strengthen the district’s technological infrastructure while advising on the best ways to integrate emerging technologies into the libraries. When not at speaking engagements or learning about new technologies, he enjoys spending time with his 10-year-old daughter, traveling, snowboarding and brewing beer.
