mySummer program kicks off with theme “Let’s Play”
Anythink’s annual mySummer initiative returns on June 1, 2023, with programs inspired by the theme of “Let’s Play.” This year’s summer experience includes opportunities for local residents to learn in fun, new ways, find joy through games and embrace carefree moments.
As part of this year’s mySummer program, Anythink has partnered with Colorado artist Jessica Moon Bernstein-Schiano to offer art workshops for children at Anythink Commerce City and adults at Anythink Huron Street. In addition, community members can expect visits with live goats, children’s improv workshops with 5280 Theater Company, gaming sessions with Denver Extreme Game Truck and interactive performances by the Colorado Symphony. Other mySummer program partners include:
- Craftsman & Apprentice
- Play-Well TEKnologies
- Japan American Society of Colorado
- Colorado Mountain Club
- Da Vinci Adventures
- Amazing Athletes
- Inside the Orchestra
- Two by Two Petting Zoo
Inspired by the mySummer theme, Bernstein-Schiano also crafted “Animal Lore,” a card deck exclusively available when participants register for mySummer at their local Anythink. Limited edition poster prints of the “Animal Lore” illustrations will be available for purchase at the Anythink Backyard Concert Series. Funds raised will support the Anythink Foundation.
“MySummer continues to bring engaging, fun and educational experiences to Coloradans throughout the summer,” says Anythink Director of Customer Experience Suzanne McGowan. “This year’s theme will inspire people of all ages to embrace the spirit of play, teach and learn from one another, and find meaning in unexpected, shared moments.”
Beginning May 23, 2023, community members are encouraged to sign up online and visit their local Anythink to kick off mySummer 2023.
