SPARK wins awards from Society of Professional Journalists
SPARK, Anythink’s magazine, was recently awarded at the Colorado Society of Professional Journalists Top of the Rockies regional contest on April 20, 2018. This annual judged contest highlights excellence in journalism for reporters, designers and publications in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming in a variety of categories based on subject matter and circulation. This year, SPARK received the following awards: Second place in Special Section for “Everyone is creative”; Second place in Info Graphic for “Find your next volunteer opportunity”; and third place in Single Page Design for “Which goat are you?”.
“At Anythink, our vision is to be the catalyst for innovation in Adams County. We do this by celebrating ideas and inspiration in our community, and opportunities for learning – and SPARK a physical manifestation of this vision,” says Anythink Director of Innovations and Brand Strategy Stacie Ledden. “The Society of Professional Journalists has recognized the work of our team in awarding SPARK. We are thrilled to share this honor with Anythink staff and our community, who provide the many voices and perspectives that fill its pages.”
SPARK is designed to connect its readers with people, places, ideas and inspiration meant to education and illuminate. Published three times a year, it includes original articles, essays, photography and design from Anythink staff and guest contributors. It’s available at all seven Anythink locations, online and in select locations throughout Adams County. This is the second year in a row in which SPARK has placed in the Top of the Rockies contest.
