The Studio at Anythink hosts open house

Anythink invites the community to join staff and artists in residence for a day of creative exploration during The Studio Open House on Saturday, Nov. 18, 10 am-3 pm. Workshops will be offered throughout the day on everything from videography to 3D printing, and customers of all interest-levels and ages are encouraged to attend. Participants can drop in for one session or stay for the whole day. This open house provides an opportunity to experience first-hand the types of workshops and tools available in The Studio, while interacting with staff and Anythink’s artists in residence – creative community members who share their expertise through mentorship and programming.

“In the Studio, imagination knows no bounds,” says Mo Yang, Anythink studio coordinator. “Do you dream about characters in a world of your own creation? Design them using our 3D printer and then create your own stop animation video. Always wanted to learn how to sew your own clothing? We’ve got the resources and the experts to help you learn that. The Studio Open House allows people of all ages to check out the Studio, talk with our staff and artists in residence, and dream about what’s possible.”

The Studio at Anythink is guided by the philosophy that customers of all ages thrive when they discover and follow their passions, collaborate with others, and become creators. Studio experiences are centered around production and put interest-driven, informal learning into action. While The Studio has two dedicated physical spaces at Anythink Wright Farms and Anythink Brighton, Anythink also creates the environment for experiences to be hosted at all seven of its locations with traveling equipment and programming.
