Celebrate Anythink Events Scheduled for Sept. 12
While festivities get underway at the new Brighton Library on September 12, our other libraries will be celebrating the launch of the district’s new brand. Diversity, discovery, play, culture, creativity and community all define our libraries. Join us on Saturday, September 12 as we celebrate these qualities through unique, interactive events.
“Celebrate Culture” – Thornton, 10 am-4 pm

Explore
all the facets of your community through learning, games and dance. Drop in
anytime throughout the day to create paper flowers.
10 am – Save Money on your Energy Bill presented by Xcel Energy: Join us
for this informational program on how to save money on your energy bills.
11 am – Loteria: Loteria is a Mexican game of chance, similar to Bingo.
Stop in for a game and interact with family and friends as we kick off our
Mexican Independence celebration in Anythink fashion.
1 pm – Healthy Food Choices presented by Vitamin Cottage: Develop your own
healthy meal plans and sample goodies, courtesy of Vitamin Cottage.
2 pm– Mexican Heritage Dancers: Watch, listen and participate in this
performance by authentic Mexican dancers in celebration of Mexican Independence
Day.
3 pm – Piñata Party: Children under 12
are invited to hit the piñata and find what’s inside.

distinctive artwork, jewelry, and great experiences with family and friends.
10 am-12 pm – Doodle Design: The “doodle,” which represents the beginning of all ideas, is part of the district’s new logo. Use your creativity to show what the doodle represents to you. You can even replicate the doodle on your own sugar cookie any time throughout the day, while supplies last.
1-3 pm – Jewelry Making: Create your own jewelry inspired by the Anythink doodle.

From 9-10 am on Saturday, September 12, everyone is invited to help spread the word about the new brand with a fun event designed to bring the community together.
