Anythink is delighted to unveil Anythink World on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at an online early access launch. Anythink World is the library's custom virtual experience platform available free of charge to all Anythink library cardholders. The early access launch event will be hosted virtually in Anythink World from 1:30-5 pm.

Anythink customers can explore the library’s metaverse by going to www.anythinklibraries.org on the launch day and following the instructions to enter Anythink World. Additionally, each Anythink library will have some surprises for customers in person during the launch event.

In addition to live music and activities in world with DJ Will Gill, customers can tune in online for any of the planned events:

• 1:30 pm – Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
  Join Anythink Executive Director, Mark Fink, and Anythink World Manager, Alex Thao, for our classic ribbon cutting ceremony with a twist.
   
• 2:15 pm – Keynote Presentation: “Fire Up Your Mental Health!” with Anthony McLean
  Discover the secrets to optimizing your mental well-being and transforming your life in this upbeat, actionable presentation with renowned speaker and mental health advocate Anthony McLean. Learn how to infuse your daily routines with purpose, regain your enthusiasm, and maintain a balanced mindset for success in your personal and professional spheres.
   
• 3:30 pm – Keynote Presentation: “Leadership Through Change” with Yassmin Abdel-Magied

With the early access launch of Anythink World, Anythink is reimagining how libraries engage with their customers and the communities they serve.

Anythink World is a groundbreaking digital platform that blends education, creativity, socialization and networking into a seamless, inclusive virtual experience for all ages. Anythink created Anythink World to expand access to a wide range of library resources to the residents of Adams County, Colorado, and beyond.

Like other metaverses, Anythink World is accessible on desktops, tablets, and mobile devices. Once users have signed up for an account and created their avatar, they can go in world to explore two dynamic virtual landscapes:

• The Island: The main map with different adventures, scavenger hunts, and gaming activities for users to explore.
• The Campus: An interactive hub for hosting book clubs, workshops, meetings, and more!
