Tax time: Important changes regarding forms and instructions

As community hubs, Anythink and other libraries have long been go-to sources for tax resources and forms. With the 2015 filing season underway, Anythink customers should be aware of some important changes that impact the availability of important tax documents.

Tax Forms & Documents

The Tax Forms Outlet Program, known as TFOP, offers tax products to the American public through organizations like libraries. Due to budget cuts, the IRS will no longer be distributing certain printed forms and instructions to participating TFOP organizations. Most notably, this includes instructional booklets for the most common tax forms (1040, 1040A and 1040EZ).

If you need access to federal instructional booklets, there are a couple of options:

  • Order specific printed tax materials directly to your home by clicking here or by calling 1-800-829-3676.
  • View or print instruction booklets online at http://www.irs.gov/Forms-&-Pubs. Normal printing charges apply if printed from an Anythink computer.

Additionally, all Colorado state forms and instructions can be found at the Colorado Department of Revenue website.

The following forms will be available at your Anythink in the coming weeks:
Federal: 1040, 1040A and 1040EZ forms
State: Colorado state tax form and instruction booklets

Please check back soon for details on form availability.
