Strum, beat, and play your way through the Swallow Hill Music Instrument Petting Zoo! We provide a hands-on experience for kids and adults – led by our knowledgeable staff of “zookeepers.” The entire family can try out ukuleles, hand drums, guitars, mandolins, banjos, fiddles, mini-pianos, and more. We provide the instruments and you provide the curiosity.
Are you hungry for good books and good food? This month, read a book that’s science fiction or about science, and then eat snacks and tell us all about it! We will design our own rockets and blast them off outside together. Appropriate for kids in grades 4-5. Please see a staff member if you need book recommendations.
Children in elementary school are invited to read to our wonderful dog volunteers. They join us on the third Saturday of each month. This is an excellent program for children who are learning to read or need practice reading. Our patient dogs love to listen and they never criticize. Please call 303-452-7534 or stop by to make an appointment.
