Join BMoCA Educator Melinda Laz for a video demonstration and interactive online art workshop discussing BMoCA's Spring 2020 exhibition Night Reels: The Work of Stacey Steers. Artist Stacey Steers is known internationally for her process-driven, labor-intensive animated films composed of thousands of handmade works on paper. The exhibition featured several of her films, sculptures, installations and collages. For this program, a video and art project will be presented online that you can watch and create in the comfort of your own home. 

A live video chat via Zoom will follow on Friday, Jan 29 at 4:00pm, during which questions can be asked and answered, additional demonstration can occur, and participants can chat or share their work with BMoCA Educator Melinda Laz. Registration will be limited to 20 participants; Registrants will be provided with necessary art supplies to create their project (available for pick-up at the Perl Mack Branch). While we’re apart we can still make and appreciate art.  Register online and pick up an art kit any time after Saturday, January 2 at the Wright Farms branch. Follow the instructions included in the kit and have fun making your own piece of art. Registered participants are encouraged to attend the Virtual Gallery Showing on January 20 as we come together virtually to show off our masterpieces. Information regarding the Virtual Gallery Showing is included in the kit. Appropriate for elementary school-age kids. Registration is required.

Grab your supplies from the library in advance then join Sipping and Painting Highland for a virtual painting session. Kits can be picked up beginning Monday, November 9 at Anythink Wright Farms. This program will be held online using Zoom. A link to the program will be sent out via email to registrants. Appropriate for elementary school-aged kids. Space is limited; registration required.
