Join Anythink in welcoming the famed Cleo Parker Robinson Dance ensemble to the Brighton Armory stage. This 45-minute session will focus on the connection between classical and contemporary artists using dance, duets, and discussion. CPRD dancers and educators  will feature a piece from the upcoming “Romeo and Juliet” performance, which opens in April. The session will also include hip hop work from CPRD’s repertoire.  This performance is intended for mature audiences; recommended for grades 6 and above.

Spend an hour with magician Connie Elstun to learn the science of magic and the magic of science. Learn about Nikola Tesla and participate in a Tesla/Edison competition developed by Connie for NASA and its Orion educational launch. This program will be held at the Brighton Armory, adjacent to Anythink Brighton. Appropriate for students in grades K-5. No registration necessary.

Get an up-close look at the orchestra! Inside the Orchestra’s family concerts explore the relationship with the conductor and the orchestra while featuring music from Beethoven to current pop hits. During this 50-minute performance, Inside the Orchestra engages, entertains and educates children and their families. Audiences experience what it is like to be truly inside the orchestra – participants will be seated with a 15-piece orchestra surrounding them. Kids can interact with the conductor and the musicians and learn all about the various instruments. The collaborative performance with Inside the Orchestra, opera singers from Central City Opera and dancers from Hannah Kahn Dance Company creates a one-stop cultural experience. This program is held The Armory Performing Arts Center, adjacent to Anythink Brighton, and is appropriate for all ages.

Led by professional dancers and artists, this interactive workshop will focus on learning original choreography and creating props for a Dia de los Muertos performance to be performed by the kids and CPRD ensemble in the afternoon at the Brighton Armory. Appropriate for students K-5th grade. Space is limited; registration required.

Join the Denver Museum of Nature & Science for a dynamic presentation with the “Host of Gross.” Through interactive activities, learn about all of the unpleasant things the human body does to stay healthy. Blast matter through giant nostrils into a crowd of nose hair, perform a comical digestion skit and inspect a giant zit. This program will be held at the Brighton Armory. Appropriate for students in K-5th grades. No registration required.

Join MAD Science and defy gravity in this energetic event. Didgeridoo tubes, a genie in a bottle and exothermic/endothermic reactions will introduce you to the exciting world of chemistry. Join us for a special, free concert by an award winning children's musician and artist! The animated character of Gustafer Yellowgold is the brainchild of singer and illustrator Morgan Taylor, whose band accompanies Gustafer on various adventures that appeal to both kids and grownups. Recently, the New York Times described Taylor, who as an adult rocker has shared bills with the Smithereens and Bob Dylan, as “a cross between Yellow Submarine and Dr. Seuss.” This program will be held at The Armory Performing Arts Center, adjacent to Anythink Brighton. Ian Cooke’s 2013 “Cassowary and Fruit Bat” – a book, short film and musical album – explores Australia through its environment and animals as a flying mammal tries to win the heart of a flightless bird. His new album focuses on dinosaurs, with each song following the journey of a different Mesozoic animal. Join Cooke for an interactive performance of songs that entertain and inspire. This program will be held at the Armory Performing Arts Center, adjacent to Anythink Brighton. No registration required.
