Join Red Feather Woman, a Native American Storyteller from the Assiniboine/Lakota tribe of the Ft. Peck Reservation in Montana, for an exploration of indigenous music and storytelling. Learn mystical and ancient stories during this enriching and entertaining session. Experience the “Keepers of the Earth” song, and participate in a social round dance. Appropriate for all ages. This program will be held outside at Anythink Huron Street.
Eco-printing is a technique that uses plants to leave imprints on fabric or paper. In this program, we will forage and explore outside to find flowers and plants. Then, we’ll hammer those plants onto a piece of cotton. In the end, you’ll walk away with a new wall hanging. Space is limited; registration is required. Visit our online calendar to register.
Share your creative spirit with us! Join artist Rudi Monterroso in creating a work of art for our community. Learn how Monterroso incorporates mindfulness in his artistic process and bring out your inner artist as we use our fingers and other brushless tools to create. Paint will be involved, so please dress accordingly. All ages welcome, no registration necessary.
