3…2…1…Happy Noon Year! Gather the family for a special virtual performance by renowned children’s musician Laurie Berkner as we look ahead to 2021. Get everything you need for a festive celebration and official 12 pm countdown at home with your free Noon Year’s Eve Party in a Bag, available at your local Anythink beginning Wednesday, Dec. 16.  This kit – available free at all Anythink branches while supplies last as part of the library’s curbside service – includes everything you need to ring in the new year at home, including noisemakers, balloons, activities and much more. Tune in live on Anythink’s Facebook page or YouTube channel for friendly Anythink faces, family activities, and more. Everyone is welcome to pick up a Noon Year's Eve Party in a Bag – no attendance required. 

Laurie Berkner is widely acknowledged as one of the performers who launched the “kindie rock” movement, a genre of music designed to entertain kids and adults alike. Described by People magazine as “the queen of kids’ music,” Berkner is a nationally recognized entertainer known for catchy songs and engaging performances. Anythink’s Noon Year’s Eve celebration will begin at 11:50 am with activities and a countdown, followed by Berkner’s performance. The virtual event, as well as take-home Party in a Bag kits, are free with no registration required.

Celebrate New Year’s Eve science-style. The Fizz! Pop! Drop! STEM kit includes all the materials needed to end your year with some sensational science experiments. Our hypothesis is that these physical and chemical reactions are the variable you need to set your new year in motion. Register online and pick up your kit at the Wright Farms branch any time between December 21-30. A virtual drop-in session will be available Wednesday, December 30 between 2-3pm for questions and discussion. Appropriate for Elementary age children. Supplies are limited; registration required.
