Learn the basics of Adobe Illustrator by creating a necklace using the tools and resources available in the Studio to create a gift for the holiday. We will be using the Glowforge to etch and laser cut your animal on basswood. Afterwards, you’ll be able to use acrylic paints to give your necklace some color. Local artist Adelina Gonzales, also known as That5280Lady, will guide participants in creating pop culture-based art on recycled vinyl records. Explore all of your favorite icons through color. Feel free to bring a photo or reference of your favorite musician, comic book character, brand or movie. All materials needed will be provided. Space is limited; registration is required. In this painting program, we’ll focus on the importance of shadow and light. You’ll learn what these two elements add to a painting and how to create dimension while painting from a still life composition. We’ll paint a piece for the season using props and light in The Studio. It is not necessary to attend all programs. Space and supplies are limited; registration preferred.
