Join us for a visit from first lady Eleanor Roosevelt. Mrs. Roosevelt will share information about her life in 1937, during her husband’s second term as president. In this historical performance, students are invited to learn how they can get and make a difference in the world. Best for elementary age children.

Mailing a letter to an elected official is a wonderful way to get your voice heard. Join Lighthouse Writer’s Workshop to get your cause on paper. Then, add some eye-catching art to your postcard with a little help from the Clyfford Still Museum. We will provide the stamp and get your postcard mailed. This program is drop-in; come and go as you please. Appropriate for kids in grades 3-7.

Travel back in time for a show about real women who have made an impact on Colorado, human rights and America. Hear about Helen Hunt Jackson’s dedication to Indian rights, Maude Nelson’s time as a baseball barnstormer and other stories from the Unconventional Women of the West.

What does it mean to be an American? What holds us together in turbulent times? American Creed (2018) features former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, historian David Kennedy and a diverse group of Americans, all asking themselves whether a unifying set of beliefs can prove more powerful than the issues that divide us. Join us for a screening of this moving documentary, followed by facilitated conversation on American values, the state of our democracy, and the ties that bind us. To help us kick off the conversation, each attendee is encouraged to bring a personal memento – a photo, object or anything that addresses the question: Where are you from?
