Macon, one of the original Tuskegee Airman, tells stories of how he overcame life’s obstacles to become one of the first black US Airmen. His book, I Wanted to be a Pilot, encourages kids to recognize history and reach for their dreams. No registration required.

Join founder of Citizen University and director of the Aspen Institute Citizenship and American Identity Program Eric Liu as he discusses themes from his book, “You’re More Powerful Than You Think: A Citizen’s Guide to Making Change Happen.” This dialogue on civic engagement will include opportunities for attendees to participate in large and small group conversations. The event is free and open to the public. Space is limited; registration required. The first 100 people to register will receive a free copy of Liu’s book. Light refreshments will be served.
