Summer reads for tweens
Finding the right book is always a challenge, especially if you’re a tween trying to find a good, fun read. With the lazy days of summer come books, so why not try these light reads for all ages?
Smells Like Dog, Smells Like Treasure and Smells Like Pirates by Suzanne Selfors
This trilogy follows the adventures of Homer W. Pudding and his dog, umm...Dog, as they search for lost treasure, a missing map and hidden fortresses. One of the many silly things in each of these books is the author’s introductory note explaining that, unlike other dog stories, these are not sad and nothing bad happens to Dog. Well, mostly.
