Do we have it? Find Anythink titles when browsing Amazon or Goodreads
Do you like looking through Amazon's reviews but don't always want to fork over the money to purchase a book?
Do you use Goodreads to track what you've read and find your next read?
Now there's a Chrome browser extension (a Firefox version is in the works) that lets you see if an item is in Anythink's catalog without leaving the page you're viewing on Amazon and Goodreads! It's called Library Extension. Simply install to your Chrome browser to start finding library books easily as you browse.
Once installed, Library Extension will add a box to the Amazon or Goodreads page of a book indicating whether Anythink has the item and how many are available. On Amazon, results display right above the "Add to Cart" box. On Goodreads, results show up just under a book's description.
Here's how to do it:
- First, click here go to the Library Extension website.
- Click "Install on Chrome" – a popup box will appear.
- Click "Add to Chrome" – smaller popup box will appear.
- Click "Add Extension" – you're done!
Now that it's installed, look on the far right side of the web address bar in Chrome. You will see an icon that looks like a tiny stack of books – that's Library Extension. As you browse Amazon or Goodreads, you'll notice this icon light up with color if it has information for you. However, you don't have to do anything. The information will automatically display integrated with the item's Amazon or Goodreads page. Now you can use your library card – instead of your credit card – to read.
Give it a try, and let us know what you think. Happy reading!
