A new way to explore early literacy! This drop-in program is for children through 6 years old and their parents. Five different centers will be set up reflecting one of each of the early literacy skills. Centers may include books, hands-on activities, crafts, or music. Participants will be gathered together two times during the hour to do a group movement, or story activity. This is a new and exciting way to create a path of life-long learning.

It's an excellent program for children who are learning to read or need practice reading. Our patient dogs love to listen and they never criticize. Learn how to access our downloadable media, find titles, and transfer them onto your e-reader, smartphone or portable music device. Getting Your Affairs in Order: Making your wishes known before it’s too late: Living Wills, Advance Directives, Medical Power of Attorney.  Bradley Frignon, noted public speaker and Denver estate planning and elder care attorney, will guide participants through wills, trusts and other planning we wish we didn’t have to do.

Jan. 2 – TAB: Get involved and let your voice and opinion be heard through the Teen Advisory Board (TAB).

Jan. 9 – Hot Cocoa and Haiku: Warm up at the library while we read haiku poetry and write some of our own, all while sipping on hot cocoa.

Jan. 16 – Van Gogh at the Library: Learn a bit about the famous artist Vincent Van Gogh and his work while creating your own masterpiece.

Jan. 23 – Teen Wii: Show off your Wii skills while mingling with your friends at the library.

Jan. 30 – January Craft: Get crafty and creative with a January-inspired project.
