Explore historic Bromley Farm and learn about Brighton’s agricultural history in the rooms where it happened. Tour the farm with Lou Ellen Bromley, learn how to make Irish soda bread and shamrock butter with Lilly Steirer of Slow Foods Denver, and take part in a craft project to commemorate the day. This event will take place at Bromley Farm/Koizuma-Hishinuma Farm, located at 1594 E. Bromley Lane in Brighton. All ages welcome.

Have you ever wanted to be a vendor at a farmer’s market or sell the goods you make at home? Discover the important details of the Colorado Cottage Foods Act with the experts at CSU Extension. During this course, you’ll learn the food safety guidelines required to operate a small home-based cottage food business, including storage, transport and sales. Attendees who participate in this course will meet the training requirements for the Colorado Cottage Foods Act and earn a 3-year certification. Appropriate for adults. Space is limited; online registration required. 

Light snacks will be provided, but feel free to bring a packed lunch.

March 4 – Screen Printing with the Ink Lounge – Go behind the scenes of screen-printing and learn how to pull a print.

March 11 – Dig It: Plantable Paper – Construct a deckle and follow the steps to prepare your own seed paper.

March 18 – Dig It: Farm to Table – Work with a gardening expert, Katy Rowland, to create container gardens and then cook up some snacks that you can enjoy once your garden grows.

Experience the magic of oral tradition with the “Legend of the Tree Sisters,” presented by representatives from Museo de las Americas. This engaging legend teaches the importance of Native American horticulture traditions and planting methodology. Following the Native American tradition of using all parts of the corn, participants will help create a corn-husk doll. Appropriate for kids in grades kindergarten through 6. No registration required. This program follows the opening reception of "Roots/Raíces," an exhibition that explores the agricultural roots of Latin America through art and artifacts.

Gather for the opening reception of “Roots/Raíces,” an exploration of the agricultural roots of Latin America through art and artifacts. Enjoy music and food while taking in this exhibition curated by Museo de las Americas specially for Anythink. Following the reception, kids in grades kindergarten through 6 are invited to experience the magic of oral tradition with The Legend of the Three Sisters. This engaging legend teaches the importance of Native American horticulture traditions and planting methodology, and participants will create corn-husk dolls. Events are free and open to the public. No registration required. "Roots/Raíces" will be on display at Anythink Commerce City through May 1, 2019.
