In this weekly open lab, everyone is welcome to drop in and work on their own projects with the help of our guides. Join us for a fresh, fun and, most importantly, not intimidating, workshop that will introduce you to the world of modern calligraphy. Whether you want to use use calligraphy for your wedding or just want to try something you've been thinking about, this class is a great start. This class will cover how to do basic dip pen calligraphy using a pen holder, nibs, and calligraphy ink. This beginner’s course will cover basic skills like dipping your pen, applying pressure, techniques for practice, and a modern-style calligraphy alphabet. Appropriate for ages 16 and older.
