We’ll provide a space to spend time with you little ones in meaningful ways.  This summer we are exploring themes based on exhibits at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. Be ready to play, read, sing, talk or write as we explore early literacy skills based around these themes. Wear clothes that can get messy. Appropriate for ages 0-5.  No registration required.

Join our teen sidekicks for a drop-in snack program sponsored by the Food Bank of the Rockies. Everyone age 18 and under welcome.

Put your building skills to the test when you work as a team to keep a LEGO Bricks mini-figure alive in a simulated Colorado wilderness. Appropriate for kids ages 5-12. Space is limited; registration is required.

Learn several ways to use yarn to make useful and decorative items: learn basic embroidery stitches on a burlap, the traditional art of “spool knitting,” as well as how to weave yarn with soda straws. The chile ristra is a common – and useful – decoration to hang outside of your home.  Gather with friends and neighbors to learn about this tradition and make a chile ristra to spice up your cooking and home décor.

Test your engineering skills, learn new skills, battle it out and make new friends! Each participant will make their own robot, then test them out in the Battle Royale Arena – a shrinking play field. This multi-player showdown will make for nothing short of a great time! Best for upper elementary, tween and teens.
