Use tried-and-true game design principles to translate the biggest and best video games from screen to library so that we can play them together in real life.

Learn the basics of hand dyeing textiles with natural materials easily found in your kitchen. Beet, turmeric and onion skins can yield beautiful and varied results. Stop by the library to create your own Frida Kahlo doll in memory of her birthday. The doll will be created with no sew felt fabric doll and measures 6 inches. All materials will be provided including felt, beads, flowers, braiding and stuffing.

What makes our garden grow? You! Join members of Anythink York Street’s Teen Action Board as we work in our garden plot. Help us grow fruits and veggies and participate in teen farmer’s markets. Work in teams to create a parachute for water balloons using some good – not great – and some downright awful supplies. Success is a safe landing or the biggest smash possible. Build good or bad parachutes – the floor will sort out the rest.
