* April 29: DIY’brary Construction – Make one final zine with a topic of your choice & collaboratively construct the DIY’brary structure. This structure will live on in the teen area as an ongoing interactive activity.

In this program, students will learn about the scientific processes behind the building and sailing of the Titanic. Put on your investigative hats as we discuss the myths surrounding the sinking and come to conclusions for ourselves. This program is intended for kids in grades 3-6.

Explore and experience various approaches to meditation, including walking, progressive muscle relaxation, focused attention, mantra, guided, including yoga, nidra, chakra, and visualization. Find a way to prepare for and sit in meditation that works for your mind and body. No prior experience or fitness level requirements. Children in elementary school are invited to read to our wonderful dog volunteers. They join us on the third Saturday of each month. This is an excellent program for children who are learning to read or need practice reading. Our patient dogs love to listen and they never criticize.
