It’s that time of year again! Gather the family and join us at Anythink Perl Mack for a photo shoot with a local photographer. A green screen background will give you the option to choose your own background, giving your family the perfect setting for a holiday photo. Each family will receive one photo print out as well as a digital copy for your own use.

Therapy dogs provide a safe, non-judgmental audience for kids to practice their reading aloud. Bring a book you have been working on or choose from one of ours. Read to one of our patient furry friends. This program is appropriate for ages 6-12. Reading sessions will be limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please check in with a staff member for a reading time on the day of the program.

In this painting program, we’ll focus on the importance of shadow and light. You’ll learn what these two elements add to a painting and how to create dimension while painting from a still life composition. We’ll paint a piece for the season using props and light in The Studio. It is not necessary to attend all programs. Space and supplies are limited; registration preferred. What’s your color story? Within a zine, reflect upon various experiences you associate with different colors. From there, invent your own color swatches with a little mixing of paint and a lot of mashing of your imagination.

Using sticks, yarn, rope & wire, craft a mini woven wall hanging. 

Color Stories, Part III: Assemblage Tuesday, Dec. 10, 4-5 pm 

Inspired by Louise Nevelson, craft a monochromatic small sculpture from found objects.
