Mystified by magnet magic? This take-home kit encourages you to explore the surprising properties of magnets through experimenting, observing and figuring out the way they work. Kits are available at Anythink Wright Farms starting March 22 during open hours. A virtual drop-in Q & A session will be held on March 26 from 11 -11:30 am. Appropriate for elementary school-age kids; kits contain small parts and are not appropriate for children under 5 years old.

Put your taste buds on trial, and learn about the art of hot sauce from Denver’s own hot sauce guru, Danny Cash. Learn about contemporary artists, hang out with other teens and create something spectacular, all from the comfort of your house! Introducing our new virtual Teen Art Club in partnership with Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art (BMoCA). Each month, we learn about a different artist who exhibited at the museum, and work on a unique art project with BMoCA educators. In March, we’ll focus on Stacey Steers, a Colorado-based artist who creates amazing collage stop motion animations and installations. We’ll collaboratively produce a digital storytelling project. Appropriate for teens.

Art supplies are limited and will be available starting the week of March 8 at Anythink Brighton. This program will be held online. A link to the online program will be emailed to participants.

Join the Colorado Symphony Education Department and spoken word artist Frankie Le’Troy for a two-part online workshop that will provide participants with an opportunity to explore their own voice through spoken word. Under the guidance of a professional artist, work toward creating your own individual piece. Participants are encouraged to write and share their pieces with Frankie or other workshop attendees. As a part of this year’s Lift Every Voice Virtual Youth Concert presented by the Colorado Symphony, workshop participants will engage in materials and concert performances to inspire and help lift their own voices. This program will be held online via Zoom.
