Once you finish, send us a picture of your final bird house – and we’ll all vote on our favorite. The winner will receive a special prize perfect for beginnger birders.

  • April 13-24: Build your amazing birdhouse – don’t forget to take a picture! 
  • April 27-30: Vote for your favorite birdhouse at Anythink Commerce City or online.

Join BMoCA Educator Melinda Laz for and interactive online workshop inspired by BMoCA's current exhibition, From This Day Forward. This inspiring group show features the work of eight artists who were asked to respond to our current world reality.

For this children's program, we will focus on the artwork of Denver artist Ellamaria Ray. Ray's storytelling African masks will serve as inspiration for young artists who will create their own paper mask based on their favorite book or character. Log on to our virtual meeing to learn more about the artist's work and get inspired to make your own art.

Melinda will guide participants through a fun art activity inspired by the artwork shown.

Art kits will be available at Anythink Huron Street. Each kit contains art materials to make one mask.

Turn on the stove and make something delicious. Each kit includes a simple recipe and basic dry ingredients, plus ideas for putting your own twist on the dish. Try it at home, then connect with other teens cooking the same food. At the end of the month, join a virtual dinner and enjoy a meal together.

This month we’ll make a dessert, trying out different versions of chocolate mug cakes. Kits will be ready to pick-up beginning on Monday, March 1st.

All special materials will be provided on-site. All you need is an FM radio and your imagination! Fantastic costumes of all kinds encouraged.  

This magical journey is appropriate for all ages.

This month, we will be joined by the Ni Shang Dance Academy as they show us how to do the Peacock Dance, a traditional Chinese Folk dance. The Peacock Dance is the most famous dance in the Dai Minority area, located in Yunnan Province, China. In the Dai culture, the peacock is a symbol of beauty, happiness, and luck.
